About Me
Hi, I’m Aisling, a fully qualified acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner. My journey into this world of healing didn’t begin in a clinic—it began with my own health struggles. I originally trained and worked as a diagnostic radiographer, practicing in both the UK and Ireland for several years. But despite my background in Western medicine, I found myself searching for something deeper when it came to my own well-being.

My Personal Journey with Traditional Chinese Medicine
I first experienced the power of TCM and acupuncture in my younger years, when I was dealing with severe PMS symptoms that nothing else seemed to help. The difference it made in my life was profound.
Fast forward a decade, and I found myself in another period of deep struggle—this time with chronic migraines, severe abdominal pain, insomnia, and extreme exhaustion. I had undergone two surgeries and felt completely drained. Once again, I turned to Chinese medicine, and this time, I saw it from an entirely new perspective.
What stood out to me was how it didn’t just focus on masking symptoms—it looked at the root cause of what was happening in my body. It wasn’t about short-term relief; it was about real, lasting healing. That experience changed everything for me.

Training & Qualifications
Driven by a deep passion for this medicine, I dedicated myself to studying Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine for three years at the Acupuncture Foundation of Ireland, followed by an additional year specializing in Tui Na massage. I’ve also pursued further training in women’s health, fertility, pregnancy, and menopause, attending lectures and seminars led by some of the world’s top experts in Chinese medicine.
I am a member of the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association (A.F.P.A), which ensures continuous professional development. My services are also approved by all major health insurance providers, including VHI, LAYA, AVIVA, GloHealth, and HSF Health Plan.

A Special Focus On Women’s Health
Through my own health journey and my work, I’ve also become particularly passionate about women’s health. I’ve seen firsthand how so many women’s health issues are overlooked or under-treated in conventional medicine. That’s why I’ve developed a special interest in areas like gynaecology, fertility, pregnancy, and menopause. To deepen my knowledge, I’ve attended lectures and seminars led by some of the world’s leading experts in women’s health within Chinese Medicine. It’s such a privilege to now be able to share this work and support others on their healing journeys.

My Approach: Finding Balance in a Modern World
At its core, Chinese Medicine is about balance—bringing the body, mind, and spirit back into harmony. And honestly, I believe balance is something many of us have lost in the modern world. Whether it’s our work-life balance, our connection to each other, or even how we live alongside the planet, I think this medicine has so much to teach us. I care deeply about the environment and believe that if we want to live in harmony with nature, we first have to find that same sense of harmony within ourselves. When we care for our health in a holistic, conscious way, it has a ripple effect—not just on us, but on the people around us and the world we share.
